Who Comes on a Quilting Course?
Whether you are a complete beginner, or someone who would just like to make this simple patchwork runner and have fun, this promises to be a great experience.

What to expect:
Arrive with your sewing machine ready threaded, a bobbin wound for stitching, and a 1/4 " foot in place.
If you want to rent a sewing machine, ensure you select the option to include a sewing machine. I will help you with threading and bobbins on arrival.
Then the quilting starts!
Make the patchwork and binding - this is really easy to do and all you need to be able to do is to sew in a straight line.
Bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and water will also be available throughout the day.
Pick your quilting design here and watch as the Quilt Fairy Longarm machine brings your runner to life!
Add your binding, and you have finished your runner which can be in a variety of sizes:
10 blocks as in the first picture, measures 40" x 16"
8 blocks measures 30" x 16"
6 blocks measures 24" x 16"
2 placemats of 4 blocks, each measuring 16" x 16".
What To Bring
1) A charm pack of your choice. (The one shown in the picture is called Daisy Lane). I have several in stock if you would prefer to purchase one here.
2) Matching thread for sewing your strips together.
3) Wadding measuring at least 4" wider than the runner size you choose in either cotton, wool or 80/20 cotton/polyester. You can purchase this here if you prefer.
4) 1m of cotton fabric (44"wide) to make the backing and binding
5) Basic sewing kit if you are bringing a machine. If you are renting a machine, I will help with anything you need.
The quilting thread used by the "Quilt Fairy" machine is included in the price.
